Director's Circle members are invited to a special preview of Impressionism and Modernity: French and American Painting. Enjoy drinks and passed hors d'oeuvres before having the first opportunity to view Telfair's excellent American Impressionist paintings alongside key works from the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Guests are also invited to attend a dedicated lecture with Mary Morton at 6:15 p.m. in the Auditorium.
Mary Morton, head of French paintings at the National Gallery of Art, is a leading curator and scholar of 19th-century European art who has organized major international exhibitions and published extensively on artists such as Cézanne, Renoir, and Caillebotte.
